Would be nice if you were here! It would be nice to chat with you around all this beauty.
Rivers are way down here so I think I'll be ok with the rafting thing. I'll let you know. Gotta run, there's a get together tonight and I'm really tired from the trip so I need to freshen up a bit!
Will check in later, by the way Sheba did you make your trip home yet? (sorry I've lost track)
If you don't feel like rafting is ok just don't do it. You don't need to prove anything to anybody. Just enjoy the mountains and the beauty of sun. It has something special in the mountains. And enjoy all sounds and smells. Try to understand what sound is made by who? The same for smells. Look around, discover the small animals that are hidden from people eyes.
Mom of 3,
It's very normal to have fears, everyone has some fears. Try your best to enjoy yourself and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

I hope nature can be of some assistance! We're headed to Colorado tomorrow for some time in the Rockies. I may get to go Rafting (never been and have an unexplainable fear of waves) I can dive but that's b/c I'm under the waves with an air supply. Sometimes I feel like a real idiot for my fears. Going rafting anyway b/c I see my son has some of my fear issues and I want him to face his earlier than I did mine.
The Rockies are so gorgeous that I can't imagine not having a good time, but given my situation right now I have a great deal of fear about it. I have such mixed emotions that it's creating some unwanted anxiety - so I'm hoping the Rockies will work their magic and that being with friends there will take away that anxiety. (Hey, maybe I'll strike it rich panning for Gold!)
Thanks Breanne your post has helped me remember to focus more on the pleasurable activities than what might happen!
Summer is a fun time that can be packed with great activities, barbeques, picnics, get togethers and cottages.
While enjoying the weather we encourage you to plan pleasurable activities with family members and friends, challenge yourself to a new hobby and benefit from nature at its best.
