Sorry I meant to say I would love to some day. I am not on my mark this evening it seems. I seem to be leaving out a lot of words in my posts lately or mixing my sentences up. Not sure what that is all about but it is getting to be a regular thing.
Not to worry I am not in pain all the time. Just when lifting or walking up hills. I am being very careful and taking it easy. I have canceled the surgery and feel relieved. Something just didn't sit right with me about it and I have learned the hard way to pay attention to my gut feeling when it comes to these kind of things.
You know I may just come to Canada when it comes time to have my surgery. I need to lose some more weight first before they will do it. As you know I am working on the weight loss right now and am making progress. So who knows it could happen..and if not, losing weight is good for me and my health all the way around..
That question never really occurred to me. It all depends on which ER, what desert and what State in the u.s. that I happen to be in. In Arizona it can be anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours to a ER the closest would be a small hospital. It is pretty much the same thing anywhere the city or desert in California because there is so much traffic in the city it takes at least 45 minutes to get to the hospital. Not to sure about Utah, Texas or Oklahoma. but probably the same thing..and it doesn't matter anyway because there are no guarantee with this surgery. The mesh can come loose and get tangled up inside the abdominal cavity and around the intestines at anytime so you could find yourself in a emergency situation at anytime anyway..You could be in pain and not even know why, it might just be pain from the surgery or it might be a lot worst..You would need a CT to tell for sure..This type and method of surgery to repair the hernia that I have can be a problem in its self having it done does not mean your out of the woods by any means...
I got brave last night and emailed some questions off to the doctor that is scheduled to do my surgery last night via a patient portal. I am anxiously waiting for a answer back. That is if they check their email. I tried this before and it took over 30 days to get a response and that was after I contacted a patient advocate. We will see..I will give them till Wednesday and if I don't hear anything I will have to cancel my surgery.
Thats that..and where I am at with the process right now.
I will go to the ER if I have a sudden emergency.
