I'm groggy and slow in the mornings too, courtesy of the Remeron. I'm up to about 25mg now and will be bumping to 30mg tonight. Will see how it goes.
The black cloud has lifted from over my head, and while I'm not quite "there" yet I feel closer to being normal than I have in a long time. This is due, in large part, to the Remeron. It is very effective in my case in that it's the only thing so far that has given me any motivation to do anything.
Dark night- you mentioned weight gain; I've noticed an increase in appetite (especially for sweets, which is unusual for me) and saw the scale starting to creep up, so I started going to the gym and working out. This is how I know the Remeron is working- I haven't had the motivation to do anything strenuous in years- let alone going to a gym. I was pushing 250 lbs, which isn't that big a deal as I'm just under 6'3, but I didn't want to carry that much weight so I've started watching what I eat and the trips to the gym seem to help. I'm already down to about 240, so I think I can control the weight gain side-effect of Remeron. So far thet's the only lingering side-effect (other than a little drowsiness) I noticed...
