I am a speaker for this company which is composed by youth. We goto schools, high school and elementry, teacher training workshops,we do media, television, magazines, videos.
We talk about issues that we came through that were difficult: bullying, death, drug abuse, abuse, cutting etc...we tell our experiences to others so we can inspire them, learn and enjoy our speeches. We want to make a differance in youth, parents, police, and teachers as well. In better understanding those types of issues.
Today we went to a conferance that was for teachers, princibles, police, students, organizations and buisneses etc..to learn about how to co-operate with eachother, being a good leader, life lessons, honesty and integruity etc..
It was very fun and entertaining and all my co-workers and my boss really enjoyed it!
We met alot of people and promoted our buisness to others.
We met mayors from towns near where we live and all the incrediable speakers, including teachers, pricipals, a radio station host etc. Many are well known and very successul, great people!!
People came from all over the place, from British Columbia, To everywhere in ontario (where i live) from the states to attend this conferance.
It was held in a very nice place and they provided dinner and entertainment as well! As well as free drinks in between. It is usually alot of money but the government payed for all our tickets! It was a pretty sweet deal!!
As for smoking i was able to tell my boss and co workers that I have now been smoke free for 2 months!!
Everyone was very happy and proud!! One of my co-workers still smokes she seems proud but obviously you know its hard to be really happy when you still smoke yourself. But she said she has switched to a lower brand of cigarettes. Which I dont think makes a differance, but you know it might work for her and I didnt want to preach to her about her smoking because when you do that people dig their heels in more and keep smoking. You gotta be ready to stop for yourself. No one told me to quit smoking more than that little "smart" vioce in my head!!!
I gotta say though everytime she went for a smoke in the blistery cold snow, I ddnt miss smoking a bit! I had no desire really. Even when i smelled the smoke and stuff I mostly was glad i gave
