Maintaining My Quit: Day 2

for 19 år siden 0 547 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
THANKS EVERYONE!! I am feeling happier now, wierd! But it has something to do with the "knowing" that I AM BIGGER THAN THE NICODEMON!!! I CAN DO THIS! *grabs the sun-dried tomato and basil flavored box of wheat thins with big grin*!!! I am heading to the grocery to pick up umm, more healthy snacks now!! I will keep you posted, it seems I am really into writing about stuff, always have been but now I am more inspired to do it--you might say it is becoming my anti-nic! Thanks so much for the support & encouragement. It is really helping me and it is so good to know you are all here when I need it the most, too!!! Many Blessings Eve :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 12 Amount Saved: $3 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 3 Mins: 32 Seconds: 21

Hi Everyone, I've quit smoking yesterday. Today is day 2. I have been ready to release this for while and just never had the last bit of strength to say "I desire to be smoke free more than I desire to smoke" but I do now. I found this great website which is really helping me to focus on the positive choices I am making and to really be proactive in doing them, and is really helping me look at the reasons why I chose to smoke, and what I can do to replace the urge and cravings with healthy choices now, and I AM DOING IT! I thought I would post my progress here briefly because I am really proud of myself and the choice I made to live a smoke-free life and have been inspired to share with everyone here trying to maintain their quit too. I AM CONFIDENT THAT I CAN LIVE SMOKE FREE FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. I also wrote a poem about it and have a few major reasons why I want to live smoke free: -I desire to laugh harder and longer without coughing every time -I desire to run again, not run out of breath -I desire to chant longer, deeper tones in mediatation -I desire to put the money I save on smokes toward crystals and other tools that will enhance and elongate my life, not take years off of it. -I desire to live without the worry of when my next smoke will be, or the fear of running out. I'd rather go for a run around the park! -Cleaner, whiter, healthier teeth, fresher breath, tasting food again, appreciating a really good piece of cheesecake in all its' glory with a cup of cappucino! The list goes on! Here's the poem I wrote: __________________________________ My take on no smoke No smoking for me thats The way it should be Not because of what others say Its because I wanna live another day Elongating my life Thats right, no fight I wont let the black smoke blow out my pipes To my lungs Cant laugh long enough Without the cough to top it off I dont like the way I feel Its a hunger thats unreal I wanna lose this addiction And remember its just fiction My life is real and smoke is a lie I dont know how Im gonna quit But Im definitely gonna try Its been 24 hours and no smoke No its no joke, but I also have a cold I know to you that must get old And to me one day is like a week Because freedom from smoki
