Hi Ang, A Feb quitter reporting in - congrats on 2 weeks. I agree with Lady, you have chosen not to smoke and as you have lasted for 2 weeks have proved that you can manage without somking as well. I still have craves but I do not want to stink (well, not of cigs! :eg:) or have to go through the quitting pain again, so I will not smoke again - N.O.P.E. not me. Hey Everyone! Ang here, I am still smoke-free yay!!! Happy Valentines Day to all! Its my two week anni tonight, so I am going out to dinner to celebrate tonight! Things in my life are going very smoothly so far and i am glad, but I am just wondering, some major life changes are happening soon in my life. - moving out of my house, new job, and parents divorcing. I am very scared about this!!! I dont want to relapse!! I am scared because it is so early in my quit that the chances are higher!! Anyone got any really really good suggestions for staying off the smokes in major life transitions????? How are my Febuary quitters doing? Hello Ang. Glad to see you are still hanging in there. You are doing an awesome job. Early in my quit I was afraid of failing as well. I think it is part of what kept me going. I constantly kept reafirming the fact that I was NOT going to smoke again no matter what happened. It's a choice. You simply choose not to smoke. It's not that you can't smoke because we can smoke anytime we feel like it. We choose not to because we do not want to. Quitting has given me a new life. Sounds like you are about to get one as well. Make the most of it and enjoy it. You are going to love being a quitter. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 228 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,572 Amount Saved: $798 Life Gained: Days: 20 Hrs: 3 Mins: 29 Seconds: 20

Hi Ang, Congratulations on 2 weeks of freedom! Smoking wont keep your parents together. You get to start your new job as a non-smoker. You dont want your new place to stink. Write down all the reasons youve quit. Make yourself read them BEFORE you ever go buy a pack of cigarettes. The fact that youre planning how to cope is a good sign that you wont relapse. Shows that youre serious about your quit and want to protect it. Change is sometimes very challenging. On the other hand, you can look at it as a great new experience. Work hard to keep it a smoke free experience. In just a few weeks youll be saying, I did it! I did it! I FINALLY WON! Not cravin', never cavin'.
