Tobacco is tobacco, no matter what form it takes.
Snuff, chew, pipes, cigars, cigarettes. They're all the same inside us. But since cigarettes are the most widely used form, this is the one that's gotten all the attention.
Unfortunately, since the others don't get that level of attention, many people will think it's because the others are safer.
There is no way a pipe or cigar user can use those products without inhaling some of the smoke. Besides, they are drawing the smoke into their mouths. It's in contact with the skin surfaces there, just like dip and chew. Some absorbtion will occur.
I would have had to have taken the opportunity to gently correct this misconception.
