Please let your mom know that there's a lot of us here that are praying for her. God has all the power. We must surrender ourselves to Him and know that He is always in control. Alzheimer's has also had an impact in my life so I know the strugles you are facing.
God bless your mom and your family, T.

Hard is..."Not having a choice." That is exactly right Luna.
It's like I was telling Lady and Shevie in an email not too long ago. One need only spend some time on the trauma floor of a major hospital to witness 'struggle'. Everyone on that floor was battling for their lives. (ages 24-84) It put my 'quit' into perspective for me.
I thought quitting was VERY hard until I witnessed a young man on a ventilator being rushed past me with his girlfriend and mother following behind. The mother fell to her knees with grief right in front off me. I can't explain the impact of the moment in words. We all had tears streaming down our faces.
Ya know, I have not had one (not one) smoke crave/urge/thought since that moment. I'm not sure what it did to me but it did something. I'm also not saying I won't ever have another (I don't know) but I DO know I haven't had ANY desire to smoke...since that moment. So yes, the "power" is within us if only we can find a way to tap into it.
