Hello all -
Saw my doctor and we discussed the quit and how well it's going. I actually brought him a print out of my craving chart from this site to help inform him. He feels I'm well ahead of where he thought I would be at this point. He told me he thought I would have either A)folded by now, or B)still be dealing with extreme cravings.
The original plan was to step down to the 7mg patch after being on the 14's for about 7 weeks. He told me yesterday to step down after two weeks on the 14mg patches.
THAT'S TOMORROW!
So tomorrow I put on my last 14, and on Sunday I put on a 7. He said to use the 7mg patch for at least two weeks and we'll meet again to see if I'm ready to come off the NRT's all together!!!!!!!
Far from being aprehensive, I'm very excited about this news! I too think I'm ready and I know I can't fail! Instead of being on NRT's for the next few months, (original plan was 7 weeks at 14 and then 7 weeks at 7) I'm looking at less than a month!
We will, of course fall back and recover if it endangers the quit but you know what? It's not going to. I really have beaten the nicodemon this time. I can feel it in my bones. Somehow I just know.
This site has been a godsend. Smoke free and stepping down in New Hampshire!
