HI, I HAVE MADE IT FIVE DAYS!!!! SO HOW ABOUT I AM DOING THE LAUNDRY TODAY AND AS I WAS COMING BACK UP THE STAIRS WAS A LONE CIGARETTE.....MUST HAVE FALLEN OUT OF HUBBY'S PACK. NOW WHAT WAS INTERESTING WAS MY REACTION. IN PAST QUITS I WOULD HAVE REACTED IN ONE OF TWO WAYS....TOTAL ANGER AT HUBBY FOR DROPPING THE SMOKE.....OR
I WOULD HAVE PICKED IT UP AND PUT IT SOMEWHERE AND SMOKED IT LATER.
MY REACTION TODAY WAS TO STARE AT IT LIKE IT WAS A RATTLESNAKE....AFTER I GOT OVER MY SURPRISE AT SEEING IT I WET IT DOWN AND TORE IT TO SHREDS. I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT I FEEL STRONGER THIS QUIT THEN I EVER HAD BEFORE. I AM NOT FOOLISH ENOUGH TO BELIEVE THAT I WILL NEVER FEEL WEAK....BUT I KNOW KNOW MORE...AND HAVE THIS PLACE. OH YEAH AS MY REWARD....I HAD MY HAIR CUT REALLY REALLY SHORT.....NEW LOOK FOR THE NEW ME

way to go. Nice visual - can almost see you shredding it like an angry dog. It deserved it - it's been shredding us for years. Keep your guard up and hang in there.

Congratulations to you Mo! What an amazing challenge you overcame.
I experienced a somewhat similar situation early in my quit and I felt soooooo much stronger when I destroyed the nasty cigarette.
I'm very proud of you and know you can do this!

Congratulations Mo. What you just described sounds to me like a person who is on the road to being quit forever! That is awesome! I remember finding part of a pack early in my quit and telling someone.....take these from me NOW
You did great and rewarded yourself too. That's what it means to quit! :)
