Hi SFR, Welcome to our quit family. I didn't really have the crying spells, though I have seen others go through that. It's strange too because I cry at Disney movies and even sad commercials. ;) But I definately understand the mourning of your cigs. A lot of us looked at the cig as a "friend". Something that was always there for them, through the good times and bad. Sad... have a ciggie. Happy ... have another one. Out with friends.... have a few more. So it only stands to reason we feel a sense of loss. But the truth is they are not a friend. Cigarettes are an addiction plain and simple. They are BAD. PERIOD.
So know that your thoughts and feelings are normal and they will even out eventually. And if you need to go to bed and pull the covers over your head, go ahead, whatever it takes. We will be here when you need us. Keep Strong. redrosie
