Lady - Thanks so much...I really needed to hear this at this stage in my quit. I thought that if I could survive the first two weeks, it would be easier (and in some ways it is) - but I also realize that I am having to deal with so many new emotions and learn so many new skills that it can become overwhelming.
We newbies really need to hear from those people who have survived and are flourishing. I have always appreciated your advice, support and encouragement.

The fight for freedom is long and it is hard but it is worth it. Do not give up on yourself. You can beat this addiction. Take a lot of deep breaths, drink water, learn all you can, and find a quit buddy to lean on. Quit buddies will save you from yourself when you need it most. They are probably the most important part of the quit process. Hang in there and dont give up the good fight. You are fighting for your life and it is worth it.
