I feel so proud of myself.
My friend who is a heavy smoker was here for a visit, and I never even once got the urge to smoke. I was able to be in the same car as her while she smoked and for the first time I did not have an urge to smoke.
In the past when I tried to quit smoking, I would always want to smoke when I was around someone who smoke, and the next thing you knew, I would be smoking again.
I hope this means that I am starting to be the one in control, not my cravings for cigarettes. I know that using the patch from the start has been my lifesaver this time.
I think that I will buy myself something special as a celebration.
