Tojo....
All you can do is be a living example of a good quit and be there for support when he asks. Unfortunately, you cannot quit for him any more than he could have quit for you.
When his desire to quit outweighs his desire to smoke, he will quit. Just as you did. Prayer is always a good thing too. :)

Congratulations on your 86 days. I hope that one day, your husband will follow your lead. Right now, just stay strong in your own quit and lead by example. You're doing great!
Crave the Quit!

If your hubby really wants to quit - and he has problems getting started like that - have him talk to the doctor. They have many ways of helping him get through hell week.
I am using the patch and a prescription med. To be truthfull, I did not experience hell week.
My wife thought I was going to be impossible to be around but it hasn't happened. She's amazed at how well I am doing.
He can do it! Tell him he's tough enough to quit!
Good luck.

Yikes!
I need extra help....I am 86 days and proud of it. My husband tried to quit smoking yesterday. It was ugly. But I didn't think of a cig I went outside with my soda pop and just fumed. He didn't make it but several hours. Oh how can I help him. I think I will be fine but his attitude was really awful.
Tojo,
Congrats on your achievement! Your husband has to have his own go at things. Give him the space he needs and let him come to you. Encourage him to read through the information here so that he can be a little prepared for what he will be experiencing.
Keep Strong,
Josie
