I cant beleive I made it this far. (all of you know what I mean...) Yesterday I was sure I was going to cave. I just keep thinking of other things and breathing. I had shared with my Aunt that I was quitting. Somehow she must have know the distress I was in. She left me an e-mail reminding me not to smoke and to keep up the good fight.
Boy!! Did that help.
My Aunt was a smoker for many many years, untill she had a strok 2 years ago. I want to share part of the email she sent me when I told her I was quitting.......
It took a stroke to get me to quit. and now every day as I drag the left side of my body around I regret not having had the courage and strength to quit earlier. I smoked...and ended up having to quit ...Dancing,...Walking on the beach,..Driving a car,..Holding a great grand baby in my arms,...Hugging someone with both arms around them,...Cutting my own Steak in a restaurant...etc. etc.
Today I feel like a non-smoker. and tomorrow I will too
Keep up the good fight
