I've been asked to go out tonight with the same people who I went out with 76 days ago when I lost my quit. And guess what! They're going to THE SAME PLACE!
Now this time, I know what I did wrong last time... I got really drunk and stupid and decided to blow my quit "just for one night." This time, I know that I really have to watch out and be careful and not drink a lot and keep my quit no matter what. But at the same time, I'm not sure if this is something I can handle right now. But at the same time, if I don't put myself in the bar situation, then I'll always have a problem with this trigger. And, I'm confident in my quit... VERY confident, but I was confident last time too. But THIS time, I know that I have to be careful because I know what happened LAST time.
I mean, this kinda seems like deja vue all over again, but I REALLY want to go and just have a good time and have a couple of drinks. What do you guys think? I know it probably sounds like I'm asking for permission and well, I am! I know that I don't need it, but honestly, I want to know what other people think about this... especially those who are familiar with the situation from last time and know what happened and how awful I felt. What do you guys think? Is this a bad idea? Or should I just go and have a good time and just have a couple drinks and prove to myself that I AM strong enough to do this.
Pam
