Dizzy Doodle in my Noodle

I was pleasantly surprised by this spacy feel. It was like having my first cigarette all over again. Fitting that the first feeling you get when you smoke is the same feeling you get when you quit. I'm 14 days into it and still get that "stretched body" feeling. Tony, I got nothin for you other than support from the bleachers. I would probably suggest checkin in with a doctor though if the dizzines persists. Tony, I experienced the dizziness too but it pretty much went away after the first week or so. I may have a had a few moments here and there over these passed two weeks but nothing too significant and it passed much quicker than it did in the first week.

Thanks Shevie, I feel a little better now that I know that Im not the only one who is dizzy. I kinda figured it was either the withdrawls or diabetes has set in. Diabetes runs really heavy in my family and Im just waitin for it to hit me too. I have had a few episodes with low blood sugar, but the dizziness was a different feeling from what im experiencing now. Thanks everyone for the input. For about the past week I have been feelin pretty dizzy. I thought it might be the zyban and so I quit takin it. Two days later , the dizzy stuff is still with me. I have read that sometimes the withdraw from nicotene and carbon monoxide can cause dizziness. I'm almost three weeks into my quit. Is this possible this late into it? Three weeks in on my last quit was not like this. I felt like I could taste smoke, but no dizziness. Opinions Please. Thanx Tony :) Dizzy Ash Kickin Joker My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/2/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 16 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 320 Amount Saved: $48 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 14 Mins: 21 Seconds: 1

Tony I really can't tell you what might be going on. I know you've heard this before, but if this persists you should see your doctor. It's always good to check and make sure. Keep your quit vicki just 1 puff away from 2 packs a day

Tony...I experienced these feelings for about the first 3 months of my quit. People gave me all the technical reasons for it (which sorry, I don't remember) and the mods will tell you to check with your doctor. :p It passes. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 201 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,028 Amount Saved: $703.5 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 17 Mins: 59 Seconds: 31

Hi, Tony. I was dizzy daily up until about three months ago. It wasn't a head-spinning, walk-into-walls dizzy, but more of a lightly-drunken/tipsy feeling that caused me to wander about +/- 1 foot off a straight line as I walked, say, down the hall at work. I had an ENG test done and the doctor found no inner ear problems. I was about to try a neurologist next. Then about three months ago (around Thanksgiving, or so) the dizziness changed from the pretty much constant drunken feeling to a sharp "ping" feeling when I moved my head. What that means is that when I would turn my head or body I would often get a burst of dizziness that hit strong and died out in about the time it took to say ping. I still have that a few times a week now, but the intensity is way down to barely noticeable. I've never been able to find any correlation between the "ping" and direction of turn, speed of turn, position of head, anything. And I've never been able to intentionally cause it to happen with any repeatability. If you're worried about it, I advise you see your doctor. Dizziness could be caused by all sorts of things from your heart to your brain and should not be dismissed lightly. Good luck, Tony. And congratulations on 16 days quit. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 240 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,813 Amount Saved: $912 Life Gained: Days: 44 Hrs: 20 Mins: 37 Seconds: 11
