I get these out of my head a bunch too: "Anything in moderation" "You need to train yourself to deal with slips" (that's a doozy) "You proved your point, not don't put yourself through this anymore" "Have one once in a while. It's just like drinking and you're not an alcoholic" "Coffee tastes so much better with a smoke" "You'll get a bunch more done around the house if you have a cig to look forward to as a reward" My list goes on and on and on. this is the one that has been playing with me all week so far I feel good, I can breath so I must be healthy therefore lets light up. or If I smoke again maybe I will stop gaining weight and get back to where I was or even lose more. I freakin hate this thinking, make it stop! hey all I know a good Doctor that does labotomies. I think that is the only way we could really get that stupid Nicodemon out of our head. Doesn;t work for me though. You all will get through it and just know the warning signs of "Sneakie Junkie" Kickin Ash in 06 StuBow My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 27 Amount Saved: $4 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 3 Mins: 58 Seconds: 19

My junkie brain has been very funny this week. First off this time around (for those who don't know I quit for 4 1/2 months smoked for 2 then got my butt right back here) the cravings haven't been as vicious. No tears, no screaming, no staying in bed for hours and HEY I'm not complaining. It has, however been much sneakier. I have nearly ended up smoking because my junkie brain has been much sneakier. Here are some of the highly logical rhetoric that has been going on between my ears. "Wow, I've done really well. I should reward myself with a cigarette" "I've shown I can quit now, so I can have some and just quit again" "Gee that cigarette looks stylish" (know that my usual wardrobe consists of sweats) "I should leave a pack of cigarettes around just to prove how strong I am" and my personal favorite "I really should go get a pack and smoke some to prove I don't really need them" Watch out for the sneaky junkie. You have to deal with the big ass bully junkie for the first week and then he brings his icky cousin sneaky junkie in for backup.
