Hello
I have taken Zoloft. It was not as an aid to stop smoking, it was taken to combat clinical depression. I could not stay on it I had a lot of side effects one of them was that I was very aggitated almost all of the time, my anxiety levels were through the roof and I was almost constantly in a panic attack. Needless to say I did not like taking this drug. All said that was my expreience and I know other people who have taken this drug and did not experience the side effects that I had.
Keep a good relationship with your doctor and stay in close contact with whoever is in charge of your treatment with this drug.
Good luck hope this information is helpful.
Stay Strong and keep quit!

I am thinking of going on Zoloft and wanted to know if anyone here has been on that and if so did you experience weight gain from it. I have heard that this anti depressant does not cause weight gain. I know some of the others do. If you could let me know what your experience with Zoloft has been it would be grealty appreciated.

Thanks Josie,
I didn't even now you could go back and look things up. I could'nt really find what I needed to know though.
Riverdale Man thanks for the response. My friend is on it, and she said she had a rough time at first too. Her doctor said to give it some time and she did and now she says it is great. Just trying to decide what to do.

Phillip,
That is good to know. That is why I am hesitant to even start with it. Not to mention I have heard you have to be careful when you go off of them too. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

IWIN- I was on Zoloft for a long time and had great success with it, but then I began having heart palpitations, so went off (weaned off!) and have begun a different antidepressant called Lexapro- new. It is working really well for me. SILVER

Iwin,
Contact your doctor and pharmacist to learn more on dosages and side effects. You may also want to do a search under Zoloft and see what other members have had to say.
Keep Strong,
Josie
