Quitting smoking is taking a lot of energy, perhaps too much time and energy is going into thi. Quitting smoking is taking more energy than I have put into anything except, school. Now that is not quit true, I spent 4 years training, two years looking for the right kind of work, three years retraining, 16 years figuring out that that didn't work 4 years retraining, 2 years establishing. WoW there are things in my life that have actually been more indirect, more complicated than quitting smoking. And I was committed to working at something that I enjoy and something that is relevant and a whole bunch more the key thing was that I was willing to go through all of that becaue I was committed to having something in my life a particular way.
My commitment right now is to quit smoking and give myself a new life a life free of smoke, and body free of the toxins contained in the smoke.
There is an absolute simplicity here:
(commitment)
Quit
(action)
Stop Smoking
(perseverance, Long term action)
Never ever ever smoke again.
(Long term goal)
Get my life back
(long term reward)
Live healthy and long
(ultimate final end)
Create joy.
Hmmmmm My daily thought.
Isn't that convoluted.
And there it is.
Simple version
25 words or less.
Find the committment,
find the action,
carry out the action,
get the reward.
AND DON'T LISTEN TO ALL THE BULL SHIT ADDICT THOUGHTS.
