A couple of posts on the past week prompted me to bump this drivel!

I am a better person now that I don't smoke. I am not better than anyone else, but I am better for MYSELF. I am thrilled about that. Yep, I sure am! Does that make me smug? It may. Do I care? N.O.P.E. I sure don't. ;)

Thanks for the post Mad, and for the bumpo
Some ex-smokers are far, far more judgemental (regarding the stupidity of smokers for example) than people who have never puffed at all!
I think ex-smokers should at least have the insight to be able to have compassion for those still trapped.
Go the Aussies against Japan today!! WooooHoooooHoooo

Uh Uh. I became infected with the disease on Thursday, I'm
sad to say. I was on a feild trip with my son, ridding the bus
downtown when we past a group of smokers outside on coffee break.
It's the first time I looked at a group of smokers with disgust!
Completely judging them - without even thinking about it!
And now looking back and after reading this thread I see the
error of my ways!!!!!
I will not pass judgement on smokers again. This is my pledge.
Cheers,
Skidoo

Brent- I have been trying to find a tactful way to say the same thing here for a while. As I tend to be remiss in that virtue, I have left it up to someone else; and you have done a brilliant job of it! :eg:

Brent -
This is exactly what I needed today so the bump must have
been for me. I have been feeling quite smug the last couple
of days - even my husband said that I was being obnoxious.
So......I will try and squelch this smugness!
Thanks

Brent,
Thank you so much for bumping this, I hope I never think that I am so much better than someone that smokes. Because just little over 5 months ago I was one of them. I see them now and only feel sad, that they are so addicted to nicotine just as I was.
Great post!!! Horrid diease SMUGNESS!!
