Hello everybody. Its been awhile since my last post not a very big talker. I'm a 170 days and still no cigs but the past 2 weeks have been horrible. I have not had this many cravings in a long while I hope it passes. Does anyone else have the same problem. It only last a couple of minutes but wow it really stinks. OK that's all everybody stay focused and stay quit. I am about the same place in my quit as you are, and I too have noticed increased cravings over the last week or two. They don't last long, but they sure are strong. It seems old Nic just can't find another place to live. I could not tell if it was just the natural course of the quit or if it was due to other stressors. Anyway, you are not alone. I just hope that this phase passes just as those before it did. Remember hell week, and heck week? Then 39 days, then 90 days? I guess we can add another at 165 ish days. I find it so strange how I can despise the smell so much, and yet experience craves. Go figure. Deadshort...it comes and goes. Fortunately, the craves don't last now. I don't even really refer to them as craves now. More like passing thoughts. Think back to that first couple of months. If you really stop and think about it, this is nothing in comparison. Congrats on your 170 days! That is Awesome. Before you know it you will be at six months. Being six months quit is a great feeling. Hang in there. focus on what you are "gaining" by not smoking.....it's only positive! The negative thinking is coming from the junky in you. We have quite a time beating that junky into submission. When you hit 3-4 months it's like hitting the 'wall' for some. Missgivings creep in, craves seem to come out of the blue.....it's anothe of the addictions last ditch attempts to wear you down, confuse you and drag you back to the pit. when those urges hit, face them down.....face them with the FACTS that you now know about quitting.....not smoking leads to a much cleaner, relaxed type of living. Quitting is something you will NEVER be sorry of....let the power of being in control build in you. SEE that you are in control! and lastly.....are you rewarding yourself??? do you have a reward schedule??? do you spontaniously treat yourself some days???
