Sparky, don't be so hard on yourself, or give up so easy! I actually quit in mid August, I went the last 2 weeks in August...but on September 1st I couldn't take it any more, and bought a pack! But, I didn't give up! I smoked maybe 1/2 of that pack///choking on them all the way! But, I can FEEL I'm going to make it THIS time! I am 55 years old, started smoking when I was 26...29 years ago, and I have been TRYING to quit for 28 years, LOL! So, I am proof positive that it's worth it to KEEP trying to quit, and it CAN be done! I'm having some strong *urges* right now, and I have a straw sticking out of my mouth...and I am chewing the HELL out of it! Since I broke the *reaching* habit, the habit of holding it between my fingers...the urges are easier to deal with! I AM a NON smoker, AT LAST! PLEASE give it another try! If not today, then try again tomorrow! Oh no! Sparky! :confuse: That means you'll have to go through withdrawl all over again. :8o: You were doing so good. What happened? What triggered it? Just put them down, and walk slowly away and then run to the nearest computer. This place is open 24/7. We're proud of you for trying. Sparky, there have been many times when I have lost my quit. Don't beat yourself up over this. Regain your thoughts and your drive to do this and hopefully you will be posting soon. Sparky, I hope I'm not too late writing this post - and that you may still read it. It's a very sad thing that you have decided to say goodbye for the time being, but I think your decision should be respected. :) I have read many times here that previous quits have really helped people to strengthen their next quits. I hope this experience will equip you with similar strength. Until the next time, Deli My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 47 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 717 Amount Saved: 141 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 20 Mins: 17 Seconds: 50

We've all been there sparkey, don't let it get you down. If quitting were easy it wouldn't be as much "fun" anyway hope you make it back soon. Sparky; If you re-quit right away, the physical withdrawel will be slight in comparison to your previous quits. Do something different this time. Quit again . . . right away. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so sad to hear this!!! But you're right, you can't quit successfully until your desire to quit is more than your desire to smoke. I hope that time comes soon for you! Stay close and don't ever give up on quitting! It's the best thing you can ever do for yourself! I hope that one day you experience the true freedom from smoking. Say "see you later" - please don't ever say "goodbye." Crave the Quit!
