My reasons for doing it and the lies they were

Excellent insight! Scary how much I relate to it too. Thanks for your thoughts, another great post to add to my folder of things to look at when my addiction insanity is so great, I start dreaming up ridiculous reasons to "quit this quit". Congrats on YOUR progress! Reasons I want to smoke. I smoke when I become bored to help pass time. When I need a break to think something through, I will have a cigarette. It helps me think through a problem that I am having, no matter if its emotional or a problem at work. I feel better after a smoke. I smoke after I eat, it seems it gives me satisfaction after I eat, and I become extremely calm afterwards. I smoke when I wake up in the morning, and while having that morning cup of coffee at work. It wakes me up and gets me energized for the day! If someone angers me in traffic, a cigarette calms me down. During stressful times like these, or like the one I had last year digging the truck out from being stuck in the sand at the lake last year a cigarette makes me operate better. When my Wife gets mad at me, no matter if I am in the right or wrong, a smoke is had and I feel better about it. Sometimes I smoke half a pack in only an hour or two when having a conflict. It helps resolve my conflicts when I have a cigarette. I smoke right before I go someplace I cant smoke. This one is just to feed my calm until later, when I can have another one again. I will get out of a building like a restaurant, hospital, or other non-smoking places by myself to have a cigarette. This helps me pass time in those places I wouldnt care to have anyway, and helps me relax and become tranquil/happy etc. When I drink alcohol, Ill smoke. I dont feel its required to smoke more while having alcohol, but it sure feels nice to smoke more with alcohol. Reasons why my reasons to smoke are all lies. Boredom cigarettes Im starting to realize that while some of these cigarettes started as boredom I already had as a non-smoker years and years ago (about 13 or 14 years ago, actually), that since then Ive INVENTED more boredom times so I could smoke more. Odd thing is I have a lot of time sitting around to do things Ive purposely given away for smoking something I THOUGHT was helping me through boredom was actually creating MORE boredom! Breaks & thinking cigarettes I seem to function identically today after 50+ hours of no nicotine at all, and after 11 days of no cigarettes. I still think the same. In fact, Now I can take a break however I
