Thanks! I won't ever let my guard down but on the same token I want life to be normal again. I want to be able to hang out with friends and not be obssessed with the nicodemon. I wasn't and it made me happy!

Good! I have a friend that I have not seen in over a year so tonight I decided to visit. I had a very brief thought before I got there...we used to hang out for hours and chain smoke and gossip. I wondered if it would bother me because I know she still smokes but I wasn't going to let that stop me either. IT WENT WONDERFUL! We sat around and chatted for almost 2 hours and honestly I only 'noticed' her smoking maybe twice. I know she smoked way more than that but my attention was never drawn towards thoughts of smoking! What a great feeling. I am so glad that I went over to visit. It was really nice to see her and it made me feel good about being a non-smoker!! How cool!

Nascarfan... You are beginning to feel freedom! Congratulations. Just be sure not to let your guard down. Remember to protect your quit because that junkie thinking can kick in at any time. As long as you are aware of your surroundings it sounds like you will do fine.
Glad you had a great time! Nothing like good friends!

That's great, NascarFan. :) Congratulations.
It gives such a good feeling when we meet our demon and find it's really nothing more than a dust bunny!
Keep up the good quit, Carla.
