Mookie, So nice to hear from you! 43 days, what an accomplishment! Very proud of you for staying quit! Don't forget to reward yourself for resisting to temptation. Keep persevering and come back to vent anytime, Danielle _________________________________ The SSC Support Team

Still making progress but very much aware that I still need tons of support and need to continue to post. My downfall last attempt was right around this point when I started up again. I have had dreams that I have been smoking which disturbs me greatly. It the old nicodemon and temptation when I see a pack of smokes somewhere. I dont know why it triggers me to sneak one but it does. Sometimes I'm not even thinking about smoking but the "opportunity" is there and I grab one. Now I take deep breathes and repeat NOPE and leave the scene as fast as I can. I have come very close a couple of times of going off by myself and smoking but have managed to escape. I wish this would go away. I can only come here and to vent this and get it out of my system. Deep breaths really do help and drinking a nice cold glass of water is also a help. One day I will not even notice these cravings..Oh Happy Day Mookie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/2/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 43 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 523 Amount Saved: $240.8 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 1 Mins: 26 Seconds: 39

on 45 days Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit...... Mookie, I was a smoke bandit also. If I saw a pack of cigs on a table, it was like I was possessed...go for that cig. So, I understand exactly what you are saying. And give yourself many, many props for NOT swiping that cig, for not hiding and smoking (done alot of that also). You are doing wonderful.
