100 % with you on this one Nalu. This group has made all the difference to me. On those days when I didn't think I could go on, there was always someone there to support me and to tell me that things would get better. There has been so much great advice that I am finally starting to get into my hard head and use in my life.
Big applause for SCC and big hugs for all the great Members and Moderators!

Read an article in JAMA Journal of the American Medical Assoc. They did a study on people trying to quit smoking and the ones that had better chances of success. The study looked at a lot of variables and was long but two things really stood out for me. People with a support system, a not smoking group had a much much higher chance of staying smoke free after six months then people who went it alone. People who remained smoke free for the first two weeks of their quit were ten times less likely to return to smoking in six months then those who smoked. They broke down a bunch of other variables as well. Their bottom line was NOPE, and to recognize the behavioral/mental part of this addiction which is why those (Like us) who choose to have a group and tools to quit are much more successful then those who try on their own. ONE MORE PLUG for our virtual group and ssc. I for one would never have made it this far with out this site and the people here.
