Hi Bingo. I'm so sorry about your delay. I cant imagine the frustration you must be going through. I wish we could be with you, sit with you, anything you need. We are the next best thing - we are here. We are all praying for you. Hang on Bingo, hang on. Hiya folks. I really cannot express enough just how much it means to me to be able to come here not just to vent and throw my frustrations out, but also for the understanding, sympathy and support. It really means so much to me. Especially since being a recently quit smoker adds a whole extra layer of difficulty to this, and knowing that you folks alone are going to be the ones to really understand it. Please know that I am mostly remaining positive, and I really do have every reason to believe this is not going to turn out as anything serious. Certainly as much or greater chance of that than it being something awful. It's just... it's very much like carrying your kid sitting on your shoulders. It's a little uncomfortable, but not that big a deal. After 20 minutes though, it really starts to wear you out. After an hour, and you are feeling crushed under that weight. That's pretty much exactly how I feel right now. Then throw in that I feel like I was told 'Hey, Thursday, the kid comes off your shoulders and all is well again!'. Then Thursday comes and they go 'Ha! Just kidding. You have to carry her another week.'. Ugh. I'm mostly positive and dealing with it, but there are those times... God this is just like Hell week again. Heh. "I'm mostly dealing with the craves, but dang when those triggers hit....". Thanks again folks - you're all quitters and wonderful folks. Hi folks. Just a quick update, cause I'm not in a great state right now... I went today for the PET scan on the nodules in my lung...which is a very not-so-fun procedure. They shot me up with the radioactive stuff.... and then you have to sit in a small 6x6 darkened room for 45 minutes. No tv,no radio, nothing. Just my and my thoughts and an old National Geographic. Then onto the machine for about 20 minutes of uncomfortable arms-over-the-head junk. Then the machine broke. I'll have to wait until sometime next week at the earliest to be re-done. AND I get to go through all that again. I swear to god I'm at my wits end. The stress is just tearing me apart. I've been sitting all week wondering if I have Lung Cancer. Today was at least going to be the day I started to find out. I was hopeful that I'd know even before the weekend. Now after all that built up this week.... I find I get to wait another week now. I was at the store on the way home (cause you also have to fast all day for this test. yay) and I was eyeing a pack of smokes. I swear in my head was that nicodemon saying - somewhat convincingly - screw it. What's it matter anyways? You may have Lung Cancer! Congratulations on finally quitting! Here's your reward! Yay! I didn't, and I won't. But god almighty I'm just so emotioanlly worn out now. I don't know wether to scream, cry, collapse, or what. sigh Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to update folks since I said I was going today for the test. Bingo - Love and extra blessings to you - I can't imagine the difficulty of this situation, but you have so much love and support here. Just wanted to let you know I wished there was something I could do to make things better, but my thoughts are with you and I am proud of what you have accomplished. Stay strong and keep the faith. Bingo - was just thinking about you and thought I'd check in and see how things were going. Rats on that old machine! That is a drag to say the least. Know that we are here for you. I know that you are strong and will resist the temptation to smoke but you need to be doing something wonderful for yourself this week. Treat yourself with some rewards for staying the course and fighting the good fight! We love you! Bingo, That is just awful. I can't believe that there isn't another machine somewhere that they could send you to sooner. All you can do now is take it easy and try and relax for the next week. Think positive thoughts. Really feel for you but keep strong..............even if the worst happens, not smoking will make it easier to treat and give much more chance of success. We are here for you Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit......
