Hi I'm glad this is over once more, I read my notes again, this happens to me as soon as I go down on the ''patch''. When I first used it at 21 mg I was fine for a day or 2 then I started feeling it, but delt with it with walks etc, and around a week later it hit me a couple of days of crying and physically feeling sick and depressed, it lasted at least 3 days, then I'm fine, life is beautiful. 14 mg same thing hits me later 2 days in bed crying depressed. Finally 7mg same thing, this time only lasted 1 day, I spent the whole day in bed, I got up at 4:30 took a long lavender oil bath, my hubby had prepared a chinese fondue for me, we ate dinner I just got back for a walk with the dog. My life is perfect again. So this is the way I react to the patch. This is my reaction to this chemistry, I have one more step to go after this, it's going with zero patch. Well I figure it's gone down with every step, so I might be depressed for half a day or maybe not at all cause 7mg is nothing actually. I,ll deal with it again that's all.I have such a supportive husband, he's been smoke-free for 30 years, he doesn't remember much about his quit, he wants me to succeed and he helps me a lot, but I can tell he wants this to be over with soon, I think he's a little annoyed at me for talking about it so much, that's ok I understand and I have you guys, who are always here for me day and even night. So I wanted to share this with you ,who are new here and all the oldies that have supported me for the last 81 days. If this happens to you you'll know you're not alone. I'm a very lucky person, you see, I'm off work in the summer and I probably won't go back until end of September or maybe October. So when I go back to work and meet my clients I will be ship shape to do business. Now I want to thank each and everyone of you again and again, for your support you guys are the greatest and I hope you know it. I will thank each one of you in a different post. Bouncing back :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 81 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,226 Amount Saved: $324 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 18 Mins: 51 Seconds: 40

For Lilly : I'm in sales, I work for a builder from a model home. I'm on contract so when my contract is over I wait for his call and go back whenever. This year he thinks the fall market will be slower,it's usually half of the spring market. Spring is busy until around june, so actually my busy time is January to beginning of June. That's why I chose to quit in June. :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 82 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,236 Amount Saved: $328 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 20 Mins: 47 Seconds: 35

RVDMan do you (see the trust building in me)? :8o: I certainly don't want to smoke, when I think of smoking I remember all the coughing and being out of breath and when I smell smokers I don't want that for myself. There are times of doubt but I would say above average I'm confident. I'm still working on it one day at a time :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 82 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,236 Amount Saved: $328 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 20 Mins: 49 Seconds: 38

I just read a joke, Marie: Nicotine patches are a great way to keep from smoking. Stick one over each eye and you can no longer find your cigarettes! :p

Always the sweetheart, Marie, and always soooo positive. Even during the stinking dog days of summer! You and hubby have a wonderful rest of the holiday weekend! P.S. Your husband sounds like a keeper---cooking you a Chinese dinner while you bathe! Mine, in a pinch, can prepare ramen noodles! My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/23/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 542 Amount Saved: $80 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 2 Mins: 45 Seconds: 17

Marie What an awesome post. You are such a great quitter. To know what will happen next as we quit would be an amazing piece of information. So glad you posted this so that new quitters can see an example of what might happen in a quit and for those that are new to see that there is progress, one day at a time. I relate so well to you and the times seem to be similar even though I quit cold turkey. I have to say that I feel better than I have ever felt and that I trust myself more and more each day to be able to handle whatever might happen especially in terms of craving or that irrational desire to smoke. Do I see that trust building in you? Cheers Glad you are feeling better.
