OMG - I love Fiddle Heads!!!! Very hard to get them here in Manitoba, but we are travelling to Montreal in two weeks and my mother-in-law promises me we will have some - YUM!
Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians.
Flying the Flag proudly today,
Janet

Island Girl,
Where have you been all your life? Never heard of Fiddlehead Ferns!
Well, no chance of you getting a job on the Beach grill then...

Ah Philip, so it really is Canada day this weekend? (unlike last weekend) Got any Canadian recipes for me to try on the grill?
Happy Canada day!

Oh Mr. Ed - You have me fooled for a minute there...I know that I am a Georgia girl and have lived on an island for the last 19 years...should I say terribly uninformed??
It made me laugh out loud when I read your next posts - you are too too funny.
Have a great day!

Fiddlehead ferns and all sorts of berries like saskatoons, there is nothing like pacific salmon on the grill (sorry Atlantic Canada) arctic char and a whole assortment of fantastic fish. (sorry fish). So yes there are many very distinct and only Canadian fantastic things to eat!!!!! Happy Canada Day!
No smoking on that grill only the salmon!
