I remember one time when I quit, I started chewing "Nicorette" gum, which was to help me slowly move away from the nicotine. At first, it seemed to work, I went along with the directions, but it wasn't long before I was smoking WHILE chewing the gum,(I know I can't be the only one who did this), so I was now getting a double dose of nicotine, and my heart felt like it would explode. I was actually buzzed from the amount of nicotine I was putting in my body. I was also spending quite a bit more on the gum tha I was on just smoking alone. What a friggin addiction!
Today I have 3 weeks without a smoke, and feel very fortunate that I don't have cravings like the last time I quit. I know they will come, and I'm ready for them.
