A great post, Pam.
Believe it or not, I actually remember learning to ride a bike. Several of us on my block got bikes for Christmas. Mom wanted training wheels so I wouldn't fall and get hurt. Dad wouldn't have them, didn't believe in them. So I fell a few times, got some skins and bruises. We without training wheels learned how to balance faster than the kids who had them. Avoiding skins and bruises is a good incentive.
Did taking that route ultimately make me a better rider? No, not really. But it did get me going faster sooner.
I'm looking forward to your 1 year, too. :)
Keep up the good quit!
