what is laser treatments for stopping smoking?

for 18 år siden 0 216 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi ex. I did the laser treatments. I had tried everything else out there at one time or another and decided to try this. It is a low light laser pen that they put on your ears, wrist and arm. It's basically acupunture with a laser pen instead of needles. It cost $250 which was discounted since I went with 2 other people otherwise I think it was $290. Would I reccommend it to others? I don't think so. I beleive it helped me to relax and not be such a beast, but the cravings were still there and they were really bad at times. I now know it is something we must just do. Nothing is going to make it easy. I think going through the tough times actually helps me embrace my quit. I also did the regular accupuncture 2 years ago. That also seemed to relax me and make my moods more tolerable to those around me and I felt calmer inside. Hope this helps answer your Q's. Ex-slave, What is it? Much like acupuncture, a painless laser is aimed at a number of strategic points on the body. The treatment usually takes three sessions of less than 15 minutes each. How does it work? The procedure may help with relaxation and withdrawal symptoms. Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

Hi ~ I am a successful laser therapy quitter. Yes, you MUST WANT TO QUIT MORE THAN YOU WANT TO SMOKE. Quits don't happen by laser alone, people make them happen. I agree that it took away a lot of physical withdrawal, but you are left to deal with the mental part of the addiction. Everything works different for everybody. This - worked for me but I wanted this quit more than anything. I have had at least 5 people ask me about laser therapy over the last 6 months. If they really wan to quit like your pal at work, they will make the appointment themselves and not ask you to do their homework, right? You're too kind. Best, CobenFan Ex-Slave you have a wonderful smoke free day too. Thanks Coben, I work with alot of people that smoke. When one of us quits, everyone watches. They ask questions at break time. "How do you feel. Are the cravings gone yet? Do you still want to smoke?" It is so hard to explain to someone who is not going through the experience. But, it is so obvious to me that they are envious. They are just like I was; a smoker who wishes that they did not smoke. During the four years that I have been there, 5 women in my department have quit and one man. One woman was totally "over it" at 3 1/2 months..no desire to smoke. One woman got the quit smoking shot and was DONE with smoking; that was it for her; (of course, her having half a lung removed might have been a HUGH motivator) One woman is still using the 4 mg nic lozenges daily after two years. One woman was clean for 5 months, went back for a month, and now has been clean for over a year.On woman is only in her second month and is using the lozenges. The man followed the patch program EXACTLY as instructed and never smoked again. So, we all have to find our way. But, the most important ingredient is mental. NOPE has to be ingrained in our lives. It has to be the primary belief that will keep us smoke free. Hi everyone, Have been off line for 4 or 5 days, but am up and running again. I was answering some questions for a smoker at my work. They were interested in the quitting process. Has anyone here had "laser treatments". I know that they are pretty new on the stop smoking scene. What is it? I did the stop smoking shot..twice; I stayed smoke free for nine days afterwards, but went back. I was not ready to quit at the time. Everyone have a wonderful smoke free day. ex-slave My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/20/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 22 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 606 Amount Saved: $82.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 22 Mins: 33 Seconds: 40
