Hi Marie...
My reference is not about perfection - or being perfect... What I am saying is that we bring to the table our experiences, our coping skills in life, our ability to move on rather than getting stuck in situations... Our abilities to deal with life are what we bring into our Quit journey...
In other words, it's a mirror... Don't forget humanity - we're human, we get to be human...
Addiction is addiction - it can get a hold on anyone... no matter who they are, or what their life looks like. And when we decide to Quit that addiction, you will find that what one does in life, how one handles stress, conflict, how determined one is in the face of challenges, how powerful that person is (do they own their own power or do they give it away to others and to situations) - all of this and more will affect their Quit journey.
It's really quite simple, this philosophy - who we are - we bring to our Quits...
One who feels like a victim in life, for example, will more than likely become a victim on the Quit journey... we bring our focus, or lack of focus, our character - to our Quits...
And it has most definitely been my experience, and the experience of friends, that what we do in life (make it simple or difficult, for example) we do with our Quits... If we spend our days and nights filled with anger, for example, our Quits will also mirror and magnify the same...
We bring into our lives and our experiences who WE are...
