How do you reward yourself?

for 18 år siden 0 13 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
My two favorite rewards I'm looking forward to is buying a new cd every week with the money I've saved. The second one is taking my wife out on my one month anniversary of quitting because she deserves it as much as me. :) So far daily I'm rewarding myself with some relaxation, and also starting to help my wife around the apartment a little bit more. That is rewarding to both of us because it makes her happy and helps to keep me busy. Tonight, for day three, I'm listening to some killer tunes, cooking an awesome dinnner, and patting myself on the back. My rewards are things that smell nice. Since the smelling is so much better I buy something for my house that smells fresh like the ocean and stuff like that. I do that every week....lol My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 149 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,743 Amount Saved: 439.55 Life Gained: Days: 20 Hrs: 14 Mins: 14 Seconds: 57

My best reward is a golf game I fit one in at least twice a week. I'm also looking forward to my 4 month quit reward, a shopping spree to New-York city . I have quite a bit of money saved up. For everyday rewards I usually take long bubble baths surrounded by scented candles. I'd say reward yourself frequently in the first few weeks. Doesn't have to be expensive stuff, just make sure you do it! I now find that my rewards these days are not necessarily material things; sometimes it's enough to look at my Quit meter, or realise that I have gone half a day without the thought of smoking crossing my mind. Or watching a smoker doing a Dragon impression, you know, having just exhaled, in a cloud of smoke. How ridiculous does that look? Did I really used to do that? In a previous 'life' perhaps... Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 196 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,886 Amount Saved: 1470 Life Gained: Days: 32 Hrs: 17 Mins: 13 Seconds: 30

ah, since I'm going back thru this process again, I got to thinking about rewards. I wanna hear how you guys reward yourself! This is my reward for at least starting a new quit: Tomorrow, I'm going to get some Thai food from Tin Drum(woot!), put away the books for the afternoon, and take a nice nap outside if weather permits. Share yours :) One puff away from a pack a day... Free Rewards: a long walk with a neighbor a cell phone call to a friend who I haven't talked with since I quit smoking. Offering to babysit with a friends kids who I love to spend time with. A long ride on my Vespa and a trip to the rookery Cheap Rewards: BlockBuster movie night with popcorn with the family A long Bubble bath with a nice glass of wine and a new magazine (books get too wet!) A big Oatmeal rasin cookie from the bakery Big Rewards: A nice dinner out A weekend trip to somewhere fun (but close) A mileage ticket to AZ to see my best friend. These are just a few that I have given myself in my travels as a non-smoker. Keep Strong!
