Before I quit, the idea of never smoking again was unthinkable. Believe me, I don't think that way anymore. My one bit of advice is this: don't think in terms of 'never smoking again' at the moment, just take one day at a time. Soon, days become weeks, then months.
It is not an easy ride at first, but I am now beginning to discover that it is certainly worth it.
Every person who smokes deserves to be a non-smoker. If I can do it, you can - stay on this site for support and advice!
