Zany, this man is an addiction for you, just like cigarettes were. You've tried during the past year to "cut down" and it hasn't worked, has it? Perhaps cold turkey is best...it will hurt a little, but then, you're hurting anyway aren't you? There are other people, other friends, and yes, other men, in the world. You are too good a person to be enslaved to this addiction. As Katy said, take control of your life. That will be truly loving yourself.
