Hitting the 3rd wall

for 18 år siden 0 10 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Red, I also 'hit a wall' at my 3rd week but mine was rage. Luckily I am a yeller and not physical (although at this point, I really almost was). I just refused to give in but it would have been so very easy at the 3rd week point. Instead of heading out of the house to get a pack of cigarettes, I headed out of the house with a bottle of water and a book. I sat in the parking lot of a park and read for almost 3 hours. I still have bouts of anger which I would like to have looked at by a doctor for possible medication. If you have the option of going to a doctor to just be sure that everything is okay or maybe there is a medication that they can give you to help you through this low point, do it. It will give you peace of mind to either have something to help with what seems like a low point right now or to know that everything is okay and this too will pass. But don't give up your quit! Think of everything you've gone through to this point. You don't want to have to go through that again. It sounds like you've been through it already a few times. Don't put yourself through it another time. Keep this quit and know that I also hit a wall in my 3rd week but got through it. Kimm - No nicotine in this body for One Month, Twenty Four Days, 1 Hour and 33 Minutes, while extending my life expectancy 2 Days and 20 Hours, by avoiding the use of 826 nicotine delivery devices that would have cost me $227.66.

HELP!! I have been nicotine fee for 14 days and so fare I have been able to handle the withdraws Ok. This isn't my frist go at stoping and every time I get to week 3 I hit at wall. I become very depressed I cry for no reason, loose my apatite and don't want to get out of bed. Last time I went to the store and bought cigs. just so I could stop crcrying but I'm determined to stick with it this time. Am I alone in feeling this way? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might help with these feelings of dispair? Thanks, Red :( My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/29/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 195 Amount Saved: $60.75 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 6 Mins: 37 Seconds: 29

Red, just take one day at a time, when you wake up, just think of getting through this day, don't think of tomorrow, that will take care of itself. I still use the affirmation "my life will not be controlled by something that doesn't have an IQ" you say that to yourself, while looking in the mirror, think about what you are actually saying, and to be honest Red, you really have to laugh, life being controlled by something that doesn't have an IQ - it's crazy when you think about it. Hang in there, your feelings are normal - You are doing it!! and that is fantastic ;) All the best to you My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 56 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,512 Amount Saved: $560 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 10 Mins: 49 Seconds: 57

HI Red I talked to my doctors office, I am a stroke survivor, also on an anti depressant for emotional liability from the stroke. I also have an anti anxiety med I take at a very very low dose. I told the nurse my quit date and that I may be using a little more during this time... she said it's fine because I am very good/ cautious with it. So if you need some help call your doctor's office, they may be able to help you get past the wall. My quit date is tonight when I go to bed.. SO 8/8/06 tomorrow am ...... Hang in there.. Tonight I did not have my "after dinner cig" dawghouose My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

Red, Remember, this battle is a lot mental. If you tell yourself that you always fail at 3 weeks, then your body starts saying "it's 3 weeks! I can't do this! I need to give up!" DON'T LISTEN TO THAT JUNKIE!!! Make it through this period and you will be SOOOOOO proud of yourself! Not only that, but you will also be able to tell yourself later "I made it through that tough period, and now, I can make it through anything!" And believe that! Because you CAN! Congratulations on 2 weeks! Crave the Quit! Heya Red, How amazing are you :) 14 days I really hope you are rewarding yourself every step of the way. Dont let that junkie fool you into thinking you will not succeed. You tell that junkie you're boss. The depression, the crying, the loss of apetite its all part of the withdrawl process. Your body is healing, sleep if you have to, cry if you want, do what ever you have to do, just dont smoke. I found exersize is a wonderful way of releasing anxiety. It also stops those unwated pounds creeping in. Find something to keep your hands busy, gardening is very theraputic, crafts anything. I want to learn how to knit. One thing you need to remember and hold on tight to... this is but a moment in time and it WILL pass. If you beleive you can do it, you WILL do it. Red, as mentioned everyone is different. Your blah week sounds like my Hell Week. If you can, take some time off work. If you can't, just rest as much as possible. There is absolutely nothing wrong with going to bed a few hours early. Treat yourself as if you have the flu. I have found that instant Green Tea added to 12 ounces of water really helps give me a little Zip. Take care and let us know how you are doing, My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 22 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 876 Amount Saved: $143 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 23 Mins: 31 Seconds: 15
