But I think it might help a newbie or two....
Why have I stopped?
My Quit after 50 years means so many things here are a few.In no particular order.
I am proud of me
My wife is proud of me
My grandchildren love it(My youngest used to call me Smokey Phil)
My counsellor is proud of me
My friends are stunned
I have met all the wonderful people on this site and I am proud to know and love them.
I can breathe better.
I smile at people in the street and they smile back.
I whistle when I am walking.
I cant stop singing(pretty badly!)
My car interior gleams and smells fresh
I gleam and smell fresh!
I have more money in my pocket for the good things in life.
I am sure there are more.
Phil

Phil,
Thank you for reaching out to our newest additions. This is a great way to validate your quit and help others validate theirs.
Have fun on your holiday!

Hey, Phil it was 50 years for me also. OMG what did we do with our bodies - time will tell.
I quit because I was sick of it. I wanted to breath better and smell so good. I don't wake up in the middle of the night and go outside for a smoke. Believe it gets really cold here in the midwest in the winter ;p I like the freedom. That word is so presious. I am free to go and do what I want and not be controled by those things.
Anyway I thought you were going on vaction. If you are have a great time.
