I can share my own experience:
- This is my fifth attempt to quit. In previous attempts, I tried cold turkey, NRT gum, Zyban, ... but not successful!
- I did not try the NRT patch, because I did not need a constant supply of nicotine (I smoked about 10-15 cigarettes per day).
- This time, I quit with the help of an NRT inhaler and NRT lozenges (2mg). So far, I use only 1 NRT cartridge per day, take 1 or 2 puffs when needed .
- I cut the NRT lozenge into 4 small pieces and use them when the craving becomes to strong to bear (it usually happens after a big meal :) )! So far, in the last 45 days of quitting, I used only 6 lozenges ...
Hope this would help.
Cheers,
nmc
