Yesterday afternoon I was chopping mushrooms to go with supper. Minding my own business, not thinking of anything in particular. Then BOOM, like a lightening bolt tearing through the sky. I said to myself like I have always done through the years, "I think I'll nip outside for a quick puff." For that millisecond, I ACTUALLY forgot that I don't smoke anymore. The thought came as quickly as it went, but it left me feeling empty. For that second, I was excited about "nipping out for that puff." What a letdown. But you know what, I opened a bottle of water, lots of deep breaths and after awhile, I recovered. The feeling was absolutely HORRIBLE, but eventually it did pass. --This too shall pass-- That saying really strikes a chord in me. Those four words alone have helped me out of some rough spots. So today, I'm back on a high...until the next time. And I will be ready. Have a great day! Jan
