Hey, hey, so sorry to have missed this post yesterday. But I imagine you are still in the thick of it. Thinking strong thoughts for you. The being out of routine should help you as long as you don't introduce that nasty habit into any of the new places you find yourself right now. By the way, you didn't give Nic. your forwarding address, did you? I know you said you didn't but he can be tricky. This will all pass and you'll find yourself through the tunnel in the end. Hi Sharon I'm late posting too and hope you are doing okay. This is a stressful time but you are doing so well. Just remember that during times of stress, you need to take extra care of yourself...breaks, lots of water, sleep and rewards. You will get to relax in the sunshine at the beach soon! Sharon Rest and reward. Take the time you need. Yes we want it all done in a moment; however, time will help. Take whatever time you need to rejuvinate and refresh. Breathing really helps. You are an amazing quitter and have all the strength and internal fortitude. Keep on giving yourself the rest, encouragement and you will get there. Cheers on the new home. First, breathe. and again, deeply. Now close your eyes - keep breathing... have you fallen asleep yet - perhaps you should take a power nap, if you can... now... picture your new place in a couple months - you've got everything you want and need right where you want it... it's perfect and the things that aren't perfect, well, they're perfect too (in their own not so perfect way, know what I mean?)... each night when you come home, opening the door to YOUR SMOKEFREE HOUSE OF SOFT, LUXURIOUS, RELAXING, SOOTHING (do they have 'Calgon (TM' in Belfast? see 'Calgon, Take me Away' for explanation ... what was I saying again, oh yeah, your stress-free abode will welcome you like a cloud welcomes a floating bird... and all of this stress will have been worth it - just one moment, one breath, one day, one box at a time - YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS... you can still take breaks, just not for a smoke... YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS... thank goodness for cool bosses - you may owe your boss lunch or something after all of this... again, breathe deep, remember this is your fight and you will not back down!... NOW GET TO IT... and keep fightin' the good fight - fish :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/21/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 387 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 11,620 Amount Saved: $1935 Life Gained: Days: 51 Hrs: 8 Mins: 7 Seconds: 53

Hi Guys Thanks for all your kind words. I got through the weekend fine - Saturday was a bit wobbly but a normal response I'm sure. Despite having had to pack like crazy I did manage to catch up on sleep and feel 100% better now - your support helps mega much too. Hi folks Writing in today and I'm sooooooooooooooo tired!! I'm in the middle of a house move and I'm due to complete on Friday 19 January - just 1 week to go. I'm currently living among cardboard boxes and confusion. My head is sooooo busy and it's interfering with my sleep. On top of all that there's my job which is hectic at the minute. My energy is low and there are mountains to climb. I feel low today. On the other hand I'm looking forward to my new home - it will be my first ever smoke free house and I can't wait. I am also enjoying packing up my things - it's a great opportunity for getting rid of junk and I'm also reminded of lots of stories as I pack thinks away and that can be just lovely. Also my boss is an angel sent from heaven and he is cutting me loads of slack at this time of house moving so there's no pressure from him and that is very cool. So you can see where I'm at - really up and down, tired and a bit emotional!! I know that a house move is supposed to be one of life's biggest stressors so I have to be really careful of my quit right now. I will not slip and I will not smoke and I could really use all the support I can get right now. Thanks for the airtime and any wee words of wisdom or encouragement are especially welcome right now. Sharon, What an exciting time in your life! A new home, smoke free! It sounds like you really have a lot to look forward to here. Stop when you need to and take some really deep breaths. The things you used to keep you quit in the beginning will continue to help you through any tough times that come along. Make sure you are getting plenty of rest and taking time out to relax. This part of the quit can be difficult for some without all the additions things you have going on. The fact that you recognize this time as a time to be extremely careful is proof that you are doing the right things to get through it. Congratulations on your 90 days and your new home. Be thankful for all those good memories and people that are helping you along the way here. Focus on that instead of the down times. Don't let the emotions get to you. It sounds like you are doing great to me!
