Pat, you put that all so nicely. And it's true. I usu check in here before I go out while I'm gearing up for another smoke free day - and the smiles & laughs it generates help bolster my strength to carry on. Reminds me of a fitting Styx song,
"I'm sailing away, set an open course for the open sea
Cause I've got to be free, free to face the life that's ahead of me
On board I'm the captain (that's you mr. Magic!) so climb aboard
We'll (that's all of us) search for tomorrow on every shore
And we'll try, oh lord, we'll try, to carry on...
Come Sail away, Come sail away, come sail away with me"
And here we all are sailing on to the land of quit. My days plans were upended b/c little one is still sick, and the craves I thought were coming on haven't really. I think by recognizing the signs and talking about it to DH and here, the feelings diffused. Hooray!
Now, how about some nice salad with grilled shrimp for lunch today - healthy AND yummy! And JT can you make some low-fat goodies - hey can you invent good, soft choc chip cookies that won't put on weight?
Have a good sail today, fellow quitters!
