You know what, the same thing has happened to me along the way. I have become so self-absorbed with 'my quit' that I have let things go unnoticed that should be important. But, that's the way it HAS to be for awhile. Don't beat yourself up over it. Missing the play is not the end of the world. Sit down right now and write a letter of apology to your sister and tell her how valued she is in your life. Explain to her how hectic things are for you right now and how 'spacey' you feel because of the quit. Tell her why you want to quit and how important it is to you. Ultimately it will mean that you will be around a lot longer so you can spend time with her and the two of you can grow old together! ;)
You are doing terrific so far! Keep up the good work!

Oh gosh I feel so rotten right now. I know that this has nothing to with smoking, but I was suppose to go to my sister's play tonight and I TOTALLY spaced it out until 2 minutes before it starts. I live and hour away from her High School so I would never had made it and my husband made plans to go out so I would have had to take the kids along.
I can't get ahold of anybody (because they are watching the play and I'm not)
I feel so terrible. She told me about it two weeks ago and forgot to write it on my calander...
I'm soooo MAD at myself right now. I feel a need to punish me...I feel like smoking. I'm not going, but dang!
If I wasn't so concerned about quitting maybe I wouldn't have forgot. I was just thinking about her play a couple days ago.
AAAAAAA!

Ten,
Smoking will not erase the problem. You can apologize and let your sister know that you have been preoccupied and you really want this quit and can think of nothing else.
Try and make it up to her and show her how good it feels to be quit!
You will be fine, and I know this will be tough, but you can handle it :)
Keep Strong,
Josie
