I have just had a great time complaining to a mortgage company and a supermarket!!!!!!!!! (is that sad or what) :8o:
I was calm, collected and rational...........I set my complaints out in a firm but polite way and was well rewarded for my efforts. A large bunch of flowers for my wife and a considerable refund for me being the outcome.
I probably would have got stressed out, would have smoked upteen cigars and shouted for England down the telephone to somebody.
Would I have felt better? Probably not.
Would I have got recompense? Probably not.
Would I have got anything changed? Probably not.
Would I have told them what to do to make me happy and get rid of me? Probably not.
Would anyone have won? Probably not.
So you see......the benefits of stopping smoking just keep on coming. Note the use of the word "stopping".......I never refer to it as "giving up"............giving up what? Bad breath, no money, lung cancer and being unattractive to the world in general?
Not being stressed out, wanting a fix, not thinking that I'm not able to cope without my drug........has turned me into a far more rational human being.
So am I still really a grumpy old man? Very probably ;p
