If anyone remembers me, I haven't posted since my last failed attempt (on top of the numerous failures prior to finding this site.) WELL, GUESS WHAT? I haven't smoked since Friday morning 10am. I flew all the way to LA to go to this hypnotherapy clinic that has been in business for 22 years. I did my research before chosing this one. After spending 8 hours there (7 of them were on information and counseling) the hypnotherapy part lasted only around 50 minutes or so and is not at all the way most people imagine it. Have you ever seen on TV people on stage barking like a dog, no worry it's nothing like that. I will not fail this time. As soon as i was done with my session i was shocked that, after not smoking for 8 hours, I left with no desire to smoke. Everyone I knew is asking me whether or not I crave one, which isn't helpful because I don't want think about it too much. That kind of what the hypnotherapy did. Once in a while it does cross my mind and immediatly I tell my self that I am not a smoker anymore. I know that there will probably be some tough moments but I will not linger on those when they come. Hey, Phil, still want to mentor me? (it will probably be easier and hopefully shorter that it would have been before!)
Everyone be encouraged and keep trying and trying no matter how many times you fall. There are so many differant choices and options to help smokers quit. Keep trying differant ones until you find one that helps you. (you might want to look into hypnotherapy!)
