How many friends do you have?
(real friends so you have 3 maybe 4)
How come Old Nick has all these so called 'friends'millions worldwide including a whole siteful here!!
So you are probably a nice person and yet this dirty old git has millions more friends than you?
He is no friend of yours or mine
Kick him where it hurts!
Phil

Chicky,
A cigaret is nobody's friend. It's a thing that kills you and the ones arround you. So you should be glad to be rid of that nasty thing.

Chickymama,
This feeling is common. Mourn the loss and move on. Educate yourself about what your friend has been doing to you the past few years and let this information help to strengthen your resolve.
Keep working through the program and keep close. Replace that old buddy with a bunch of new smoke free ones :) We're here for you always!
Try distractions, deep breathing and rewards to help get you through those craves.
Congrats on day 1!
Danielle

Good friends don't slowly choke you to death.
Good friends don't take your money and your health.
Good friends don't lie.
You don't even know me but I will tell you the truth.
There is not ONE good thing about smoking -NOT ONE!
That is the simple truth.
Have a funeral and mourn if you need to chicky- but let it go.
And don't keep thinking of it as a good friend.
Change your internal dialogue to truthful thoughts.
It's better to be a non-smoker with an occational smoke thought than a smoker constantly thinking about quitting

that's exactly what you need to do....bury him! He is NO friend...he is dirty, disgusting and deadly....he first demands your time....more and more of it as your addiction increases...in the end he will demand your life.....don't let yourself be led by the lies that he comes telling. kick him and stomp him....use US for your new friends!! Trust me......You will get over it...
