Hi Anna, and congratulations to all you happy quitters!
Wow, remind me never to accept an arm wrestling invitation from any of you cold-turkey quitters! That's impressive everyone...I'd still be curled up in the fetal position, sucking my thumb at this point had I tried that route.
I did 3-4 weeks cutting down then a very low dose generic zyban/wellbutrin the week before my quit just to take the edge off. Early on I decided to use laughter/walking/rewards to enhance the feel-good endorphins and education (thank you SSC and Allen Carr) as the major components of my quit.
I am very happy to report having had no...that's none, zip, zero, zilch, nada, nothing...major withdrawl symptoms or cravings of any kind (except for about 30 seconds mental craving, when given sudden sad health news in my family).
Over all I feel disgustingly, deleriously happy and pleased with my quit. I've only been really grumpy a couple of times when I've had less than 2 or 3 hours sleep because of the medication. This will end soon and I'm so happy to have my life back...I no longer feel like the slave I was for almost 35 years.
