Last night hubby and I went to a murder mystery, to which I was NOT the murderer! We have played these murder mysterys once a year for the past 10 years. I have never been the murderer, and I had thought that as a reward for not smoking I might have been the one to commit the grisly crime!
We were at hubby's sister's house, where, I might add, not one of the eight people smoked. Before, in between scenes, I would have my lighter clutched tightly in my hand as I booted it out the front door for my smoke.
We played the whole game, I never said anything about not smoking and at the end of the night my sister-in-law says to me quizzically, "Janice, you didn't go out for cigarette."
"No," says I, my chest puffing out proudly by this point, "I haven't smoked in over two weeks."
She just threw her arms around me and shouted, "that's fantastic!".
I accepted congrats from everyone there, and when we got home, I still couldn't get the smile off my face.
Just thought I'd share that one!
Cheers, Jan
