You will have wonderful surges forward. Then there must be a time of consolidating before the next forward surge. Accept this as part of the process and never become down hearted. Eileen Caddy
All kinds of things come our way in life. Every day we make decisions that affect who we are and what we do. Quitting smoking is no exception. Each day we decide not to smoke and eventually it becomes a natural part of our lives.
What??? :8o: Did Lady say that not smoking becomes a natural part of life? Yes, I did. :)
The quote above is inspirational no matter what we struggle with. Every day we learn and we grow. That is all part of the journey. Quitting smoking was the beginning of a lifetime journey for me and I'm sure it is for many others as well. Desires, dreams, relationships, self-awareness and pretty much every other aspect of my life has changed since I quit smoking.
I anxiously await those wonderful surges forward but often become down hearted during the consolidating times. This is where patience comes into play. That dreaded "P" word. One step at a time I proceed along this journey.
As you proceed along your journey in your new life, take deep breaths and keep putting one foot in front of the other. You will be amazed at the experience of it all. Everything happens for a reason even if we don't understand at the time. Don't give up. Just keep moving.
